After years of neat, precise wheel throwing, I'm reveling in the opportunity to make things over which I have a little less control. When building human heads and sculpting faces, I often start with no reference, and I'm always in awe of the way a face makes itself known in the clay, with features coming to life as I make them. Similarly, when coil building large vases, the pot takes on its own life as the structure becomes larger. My new body of work celebrates the way that sculpture makes me feel like a creator, a god, a Dr Frankenstein, not quite sure what my final form will do when loosed upon the world.

This work is not yet available in my web shop, and I’m currently seeking galleries or public spaces to show my forthcoming collection. Below are some pictures of my recent work. Feel free to contact me if you’re interested in purchasing a piece.
